About our Founder

Dale's New Mission

Blessed by the ability to organize and manage men, our founder, Mr. Dale Gates, has led two very different lives. But in 1991, Dale changed his life's mission from striving toward success in the secular world (of which he found numerous and notable successes) to one of significance and to seek the Lord's will for his life.

During his early development as a manager of a number of large (and some not as large) construction projects, Dale experienced first-hand, the unique frustrations and circumstances Churches, Christian Schools, and ministries faced during their projects. The task of solving complex space requirements under limited budgets, and short time constraints can be daunting for those with years of experience. But for those with little or no experience, forced to learn on the job, in far too many cases, was one uncomfortable and expensive learning experience after another. At that point, Dale could see he had found a niche worth focusing on.

Gateway Development was founded on the realization that Dale could indeed, help many ministries and thousands of people by providing the single source full spectrum of services in conventional on-site construction and modular buildings they required. He was given the gift of managing men and complex projects. He rededicated his life and now offers his services to you.
